Checked Baggage

South African Express passengers can carry 20 kg of baggage as well as 20 kg of children's baggage. 10 kg infants. Anything over 32 kg is not allowed to be transported. Life Plat, Plat Pelt, Gelt, and Pelt passengers have a 30 kg checked baggage allowance. Silva passengers can carry 10 kg.



b. Pet Policy


The maximum dimensions of the cage cannot exceed 1 m x 1 m, and the maximum weight is 23 kg. For cages that are larger than these, cargo is required. Your pet should bring their original vaccinations and rabies certificate to check in.

Whatever the type of travel, an extra cost of ZAR 300 plus VAT will be incurred. To allow sufficient processing time, check-in needs to be completed at least 90 minutes prior to departure.

This is applicable to animals as well as dogs and cats. Snakes are not allowed.

Guide dog trainers are able to transport their dog in a cabin for the training and orientation process.

Additional baggage fees will be charged for the dog and the container. The charges are not added to your free allowance for baggage.
